空(kong)空道人听如此说,思忖(cun)半晌,将《石头记》再检阅一遍,因见上面虽有些(xie)指奸(jian)责佞(ning)贬恶诛(zhu)邪之语,亦非(fei)伤时骂世之旨(zhi),及(ji)至君仁臣良父慈子(zi)孝,凡(fan)伦(lun)常所关之处,皆是称(cheng)功(gong)颂德(de),眷眷无(wu)穷,实(shi)非别书之(zhi)可比.虽其中大旨(zhi)谈情,亦不过(guo)实录其事,又非(fei)假(jia)拟妄称,一(yi)味淫(yin)邀(yao)艳约,私订偷盟之可比.因(yin)毫(hao)不干(gan)涉时(shi)世,方从头至尾抄录回来,问(wen)世(shi)传(chuan)奇.从此空空(kong)道(dao)人因空(kong)见色,由色生情(qing),传情(qing)入(ru)色,自色悟空,遂易名为(wei)情僧,改《石头记》为《情(qing)僧(seng)录》.东鲁孔(kong)梅(mei)溪则题曰《风(feng)月宝鉴》.后因曹雪芹于(yu)悼红(hong)轩中披阅十(shi)载,增删五次,纂(zuan)成目录,分(fen)出章回,则题曰《金陵(ling)十二钗》.并题(ti)一(yi)绝(jue)云(yun):
