空空道人听如此说,思(si)忖半(ban)晌,将(jiang)《石头记(ji)》再检阅一遍,因(yin)见上面虽有些指奸(jian)责佞贬(bian)恶诛邪之(zhi)语(yu),亦非伤时(shi)骂世之旨,及至(zhi)君仁臣良父慈子(zi)孝,凡伦常所(suo)关之处,皆是称功颂(song)德(de),眷眷(juan)无(wu)穷,实非别(bie)书之可比.虽其(qi)中大(da)旨谈情(qing),亦不(bu)过实录(lu)其(qi)事(shi),又(you)非假拟妄(wang)称(cheng),一味淫邀艳约(yue),私(si)订偷盟之可比(bi).因(yin)毫不干涉时世,方从头至(zhi)尾抄录回(hui)来,问世(shi)传奇(qi).从此(ci)空空道人因空(kong)见色,由(you)色(se)生情,传情入(ru)色(se),自色悟空,遂(sui)易名(ming)为情(qing)僧,改《石头记》为《情僧录》.东鲁(lu)孔梅(mei)溪则题曰《风月宝鉴》.后因曹雪(xue)芹于悼(dao)红(hong)轩(xuan)中披阅十载(zai),增(zeng)删(shan)五次,纂(zuan)成目录,分出章回,则题曰《金陵十二钗》.并题一绝云:
