空空道人听如此说,思忖半晌,将(jiang)《石头记》再检阅一遍,因见上(shang)面虽有些指(zhi)奸责佞贬(bian)恶诛(zhu)邪之语,亦非伤时骂世之旨,及至君仁(ren)臣(chen)良父慈子(zi)孝,凡伦常所关之处,皆是称功颂德,眷眷无穷(qiong),实(shi)非(fei)别书之可比.虽其中(zhong)大旨谈情,亦不过实录(lu)其事,又非假拟妄称,一味淫邀艳约,私(si)订偷盟(meng)之(zhi)可(ke)比.因毫(hao)不(bu)干(gan)涉时世,方从头(tou)至尾(wei)抄录回来,问世(shi)传奇.从此(ci)空空道(dao)人因空见(jian)色,由色生(sheng)情(qing),传情入色,自(zi)色(se)悟空(kong),遂易(yi)名(ming)为情僧,改(gai)《石(shi)头记》为(wei)《情僧录》.东鲁孔(kong)梅溪(xi)则题曰(yue)《风(feng)月(yue)宝(bao)鉴》.后因曹雪(xue)芹(qin)于悼(dao)红轩中披阅十(shi)载,增删五次,纂(zuan)成目录(lu),分(fen)出章回(hui),则(ze)题曰《金陵十二钗》.并题(ti)一绝(jue)云:
