夫(fu)祭之为物大矣,其兴物备矣,顺以(yi)备者也,其(qi)教之本与?是故,君(jun1)子(zi)之教(jiao) 也(ye),外(wai)则(ze)教之(zhi)以尊其君长,内则(ze)教之以孝于其亲。是故(gu),明君(jun1)在上,则诸(zhu)臣服从, 崇事宗庙社稷,则子(zi)孙顺孝(xiao)。尽(jin)其道,端其义(yi),而教(jiao)生焉。是(shi)故君子(zi)之事君也, 必身行之(zhi),所(suo)不(bu)安于上,则不(bu)以使(shi)下(xia);所恶(e)于下,则不(bu)以事(shi)上(shang);非诸人,行诸(zhu)己, 非教之道也。是故君子之教也,必由其本,顺之至也(ye),祭其(qi)是(shi)与?故曰:"祭者, 孝(xiao)之(zhi)本也已。"
