空空道(dao)人听(ting)如(ru)此说,思(si)忖半晌(shang),将《石头记》再检(jian)阅(yue)一遍,因见(jian)上面虽有些指(zhi)奸责佞(ning)贬恶诛邪之(zhi)语(yu),亦非(fei)伤时骂世之旨(zhi),及至君(jun1)仁臣(chen)良父慈子孝,凡伦常所关(guan)之(zhi)处(chu),皆是(shi)称功(gong)颂德,眷眷(juan)无(wu)穷,实非别(bie)书之(zhi)可比.虽其中大旨谈情,亦(yi)不过实录其事(shi),又(you)非假拟妄称,一味淫(yin)邀艳约,私订(ding)偷盟之可比.因毫(hao)不干涉时(shi)世(shi),方从头至(zhi)尾抄录回来,问世传奇(qi).从此(ci)空空(kong)道(dao)人因(yin)空(kong)见(jian)色,由色生(sheng)情,传情入色,自色悟空,遂(sui)易名为情僧,改《石头记》为(wei)《情(qing)僧(seng)录》.东鲁孔梅(mei)溪(xi)则题曰《风月宝(bao)鉴》.后因曹雪芹(qin)于悼红轩中(zhong)披阅十载,增(zeng)删(shan)五(wu)次,纂(zuan)成目录,分出(chu)章回,则(ze)题曰《金陵十二钗》.并题(ti)一绝云:
