空空(kong)道人听(ting)如此说,思忖半(ban)晌,将(jiang)《石头记(ji)》再检阅一遍(bian),因见上面虽有些指(zhi)奸责佞贬恶诛邪之语,亦非伤时骂世之旨,及至(zhi)君仁(ren)臣(chen)良父(fu)慈子(zi)孝,凡伦常所关之处,皆是(shi)称功(gong)颂德,眷(juan)眷无穷(qiong),实(shi)非别书(shu)之可(ke)比.虽(sui)其(qi)中大(da)旨(zhi)谈(tan)情,亦不过实录其事,又非假拟妄称,一味(wei)淫邀艳(yan)约,私订偷盟之可比.因毫不干涉(she)时(shi)世,方从头至尾抄(chao)录回来,问世传奇(qi).从此(ci)空(kong)空(kong)道人因空(kong)见(jian)色,由色生(sheng)情,传(chuan)情入色(se),自(zi)色悟空,遂(sui)易(yi)名为(wei)情僧,改《石头记(ji)》为《情僧(seng)录(lu)》.东鲁孔梅溪(xi)则题曰《风月(yue)宝鉴》.后因曹(cao)雪(xue)芹于悼红轩(xuan)中(zhong)披阅十载,增删五次,纂成(cheng)目录,分出章回,则题曰《金陵十(shi)二钗》.并(bing)题一绝云(yun):
