"大哉(zai)圣人之(zhi)道(dao)!洋洋乎发育(yu)万物,峻极于天(tian)。优(you)优大(da)哉(zai)!礼仪三(san)百(bai),威仪三千(qian),待其人然(ran)后行。故曰:苟不至德,至(zhi)道(dao)不(bu)凝焉。故(gu)君子尊德性而道问(wen)学,致(zhi)广大(da)而(er)尽(jin)精微,极高明而道中(zhong)庸;温故而知新,敦厚以崇礼。是故(gu)居上不骄,为下不倍;国有道,其(qi)言(yan)足以兴;国无道,其默足以(yi)容(rong)。《诗》曰(yue):''既明且哲,以保(bao)其身。''其此(ci)之谓与!"子曰:"愚(yu)而好自用,贱(jian)而(er)好自(zi)专(zhuan);生乎今之世,反古之道。如此(ci)者(zhe),及(ji)其身(shen)者也(ye)。"非(fei)天(tian)子,不议礼,不制(zhi)度,不考(kao)文。今(jin)天下(xia)车同轨,书同(tong)文,行同伦。虽有其位(wei),苟无其德(de),不(bu)敢作礼乐焉;虽有其德,苟(gou)无其(qi)位(wei),亦不敢作礼乐焉。
