"大(da)哉(zai)圣人之(zhi)道(dao)!洋(yang)洋(yang)乎发(fa)育万物(wu),峻极于天。优优大(da)哉(zai)!礼(li)仪三百,威仪三千,待其(qi)人然后(hou)行。故曰(yue):苟不至德,至道不凝焉(yan)。故(gu)君子(zi)尊德性而道问学,致广大而(er)尽精微(wei),极高(gao)明而道(dao)中庸;温故(gu)而知新,敦厚以崇礼。是(shi)故居上不骄,为(wei)下不倍;国有(you)道,其言足以(yi)兴;国无道,其默(mo)足以(yi)容(rong)。《诗》曰:''既明且哲,以保其身。''其(qi)此(ci)之谓与!"子(zi)曰(yue):"愚而好自用,贱而(er)好自(zi)专;生乎今之世(shi),反古之(zhi)道。如此者,及(ji)其身者(zhe)也。"非(fei)天(tian)子,不议礼(li),不制(zhi)度,不考文。今天(tian)下车同轨,书同(tong)文,行(hang)同(tong)伦。虽有其(qi)位,苟(gou)无其德,不(bu)敢作礼乐焉(yan);虽有其德,苟无其位(wei),亦不(bu)敢作(zuo)礼乐焉。
