当日这贾妃未(wei)入(ru)宫时,自幼(you)亦(yi)系贾母教养.后来添了宝玉(yu),贾妃乃长(zhang)姊,宝玉为(wei)弱弟,贾(jia)妃之(zhi)心上念(nian)母年将迈(mai),始得此(ci)弟,是以怜爱宝玉,与(yu)诸弟(di)待之不同.且同随祖母,刻未(wei)暂(zan)离(li).那(na)宝玉未入学(xue)堂之先(xian),三四岁时,已得贾妃手引口(kou)传,教授了几本书,数(shu)千字(zi)在(zai)腹内了(le).其(qi)名分虽系姊(zi)弟,其情状有如(ru)母(mu)子.自入宫后,时时带(dai)信出来与父母说(shuo):千(qian)万(wan)好生扶养,不严(yan)不能成(cheng)器,过(guo)严恐生(sheng)不(bu)虞,且致(zhi)父(fu)母之(zhi)忧(you)。眷念切爱之心,刻未能(neng)忘(wang).前日(ri)贾政闻塾师背(bei)后赞宝玉偏(pian)才尽有,贾(jia)政(zheng)未信,适(shi)巧遇园(yuan)已落(luo)成,令其题撰(zhuan),聊一试其情思之清浊(zhuo).其所拟之(zhi)匾联虽非妙句,在幼童为之,亦或可取.即另使名(ming)公大笔为(wei)之,固不(bu)费(fei)难(nan),然(ran)想来倒不(bu)如这(zhe)本家(jia)风味有趣.更使贾妃(fei)见(jian)之,知(zhi)系其(qi)爱弟所为,亦或不(bu)负(fu)其(qi)素日切(qie)望之(zhi)意.因有这段原委,故此竟用(yong)了宝(bao)玉(yu)所题之联额.那日虽未曾题(ti)完,后来亦(yi)曾补拟.
