"大哉圣人之(zhi)道(dao)!洋洋乎发育万物,峻极于天。优优大哉!礼(li)仪(yi)三百(bai),威(wei)仪三千,待其人(ren)然后行。故曰:苟不(bu)至德,至(zhi)道(dao)不凝焉。故君子尊德性而道问学,致广(guang)大而尽精(jing)微(wei),极高明而道(dao)中(zhong)庸;温(wen)故(gu)而知新,敦(dun)厚以崇礼。是故居(ju)上不骄,为(wei)下不倍;国有道,其言足(zu)以(yi)兴(xing);国(guo)无(wu)道,其默足以容。《诗》曰:''既(ji)明且(qie)哲,以保其身。''其此之(zhi)谓与!"子曰:"愚(yu)而(er)好(hao)自用,贱(jian)而好自专(zhuan);生乎今之世,反(fan)古之(zhi)道。如此(ci)者,及其身者也。"非天子(zi),不议礼,不(bu)制(zhi)度,不考(kao)文。今(jin)天(tian)下车同轨,书同文,行同(tong)伦。虽(sui)有(you)其位(wei),苟无其(qi)德(de),不敢作(zuo)礼乐焉(yan);虽有其德,苟无(wu)其(qi)位,亦不敢作礼乐焉。
