古之(zhi)欲明明(ming)德于天(tian)下者,先(xian)治其(qi)国。欲治其(qi)国者,先(xian)齐其家。欲齐其家(jia)者,先修其身。欲(yu)修其身者,先正(zheng)其心。欲正(zheng)其心者,先诚其意。欲诚其(qi)意者(zhe),先(xian)致其(qi)知。致知在格物。物格而后(hou)知至(zhi),知至而后意诚,意诚而后心正,心正(zheng)而后(hou)身(shen)修,身修(xiu)而后家齐,家齐(qi)而(er)后国(guo)治,国治而后(hou)天(tian)下平。自天(tian)子以至于庶人,壹是皆以修身为本,其本(ben)乱(luan)而末(mo)治者否(fou)矣(yi)。其所厚者薄(bao),而其所薄(bao)者厚,未(wei)之有(you)也。此谓知(zhi)本,此(ci)谓(wei)知之至也。
