"大哉圣人(ren)之道!洋洋乎发育(yu)万物,峻极于天。优优大哉!礼仪三百,威(wei)仪三千,待其(qi)人然后行(hang)。故曰:苟不(bu)至德(de),至道(dao)不凝焉。故君子(zi)尊德(de)性而道(dao)问(wen)学,致广大而尽(jin)精(jing)微(wei),极高明而道(dao)中(zhong)庸;温故而(er)知新(xin),敦厚以崇礼。是故居上不(bu)骄,为下(xia)不倍;国有道,其(qi)言(yan)足以兴(xing);国无道,其默(mo)足以容。《诗》曰(yue):''既(ji)明且(qie)哲,以(yi)保(bao)其身。''其此之(zhi)谓与!"子曰:"愚(yu)而(er)好自(zi)用(yong),贱而好自专;生(sheng)乎今之(zhi)世,反古之道。如此者,及其身者也。"非天(tian)子,不议礼,不制(zhi)度,不考(kao)文。今(jin)天(tian)下(xia)车同轨(gui),书(shu)同文,行同(tong)伦。虽有其位,苟(gou)无(wu)其德,不敢作礼乐焉;虽有其(qi)德(de),苟无其位,亦不敢作礼乐焉(yan)。
