"大哉圣人之道(dao)!洋洋乎发育(yu)万物(wu),峻(jun4)极于天。优优大哉(zai)!礼(li)仪三(san)百(bai),威仪三千,待其人(ren)然后行。故(gu)曰:苟不至德(de),至(zhi)道不凝焉。故(gu)君子(zi)尊德性而道(dao)问(wen)学,致广大(da)而尽(jin)精微,极高明而道(dao)中(zhong)庸(yong);温故(gu)而知新,敦(dun)厚以崇礼(li)。是(shi)故(gu)居上(shang)不骄,为下不倍;国有道,其言足(zu)以兴;国无道,其默足以容。《诗》曰:''既明(ming)且哲,以保其身。''其(qi)此之谓与!"子(zi)曰:"愚(yu)而好自(zi)用(yong),贱(jian)而好自专(zhuan);生乎今之世,反古之道。如此(ci)者,及其身者也(ye)。"非(fei)天子,不议礼,不制度,不(bu)考文。今天(tian)下车同(tong)轨(gui),书同(tong)文,行同伦。虽有其位,苟(gou)无(wu)其德,不敢作(zuo)礼乐焉(yan);虽有其德(de),苟(gou)无其(qi)位,亦不敢作(zuo)礼乐焉(yan)。
