生财有大(da)道(dao)。生之(zhi)者众,食(shi)之(zhi)者寡,为(wei)之(zhi)者疾,用之(zhi)者舒,则(ze)财恒(heng)足矣。仁者以财发(fa)身,不仁者以身发财。未(wei)有(you)上好仁而下(xia)不好义者也,未有好义其事不终者也,未有府库财(cai)非(fei)其(qi)财(cai)者也。孟献子曰:"畜(chu)马乘,不察于鸡豚;伐(fa)冰之家,不畜(chu)牛羊;百乘(cheng)之(zhi)家,不畜(chu)聚敛(lian)之臣。与其有(you)聚(ju)敛(lian)之(zhi)臣,宁有盗臣。"此谓(wei)国不(bu)以利为(wei)利,以义(yi)为(wei)利也。长(zhang)国家而务(wu)财用(yong)者(zhe),必自小(xiao)人矣。彼为善之,小人(ren)之使为国家,灾害(hai)并(bing)至(zhi);虽有善者,亦无如(ru)之何矣(yi)!此(ci)谓国(guo)不以利为利,以义为利也。
