古之欲明(ming)明德于天下者,先治(zhi)其(qi)国。欲治其国(guo)者,先齐其(qi)家。欲(yu)齐其(qi)家者(zhe),先修其身。欲修其身者,先正其(qi)心。欲正其心者(zhe),先诚(cheng)其(qi)意。欲诚(cheng)其意者,先致其(qi)知。致知在格物。物格而后(hou)知(zhi)至,知(zhi)至而后意诚,意诚而后心(xin)正(zheng),心(xin)正(zheng)而(er)后身修,身修而后家齐,家齐而后国治(zhi),国治而后(hou)天(tian)下(xia)平。自天子以至(zhi)于(yu)庶(shu)人(ren),壹是皆以修身为本,其本乱而末治(zhi)者否(fou)矣。其所(suo)厚者(zhe)薄(bao),而其所薄者厚,未之(zhi)有(you)也。此谓知(zhi)本,此谓(wei)知之(zhi)至也。
