空(kong)空道人(ren)听如此说(shuo),思(si)忖半(ban)晌,将《石头记(ji)》再检阅(yue)一遍(bian),因见上面虽有些指奸责佞贬恶诛邪(xie)之语,亦非伤时骂世之旨,及至君(jun1)仁(ren)臣良(liang)父慈(ci)子孝,凡伦(lun)常(chang)所(suo)关(guan)之处,皆是称功(gong)颂德,眷眷无(wu)穷,实非别(bie)书之可比(bi).虽其(qi)中大旨谈(tan)情,亦不过实录(lu)其事,又非假(jia)拟(ni)妄称,一味淫邀(yao)艳约(yue),私(si)订(ding)偷盟(meng)之可(ke)比.因(yin)毫不干涉时世,方从头至(zhi)尾(wei)抄录回来(lai),问世传奇(qi).从此空空(kong)道(dao)人因空见色,由(you)色(se)生情(qing),传情入色(se),自(zi)色悟空(kong),遂(sui)易名为情僧,改《石头(tou)记》为《情僧录》.东(dong)鲁孔梅(mei)溪则题(ti)曰《风(feng)月宝鉴》.后因曹雪芹于(yu)悼红(hong)轩中披阅十(shi)载,增删五次,纂成目录,分出章回,则题曰《金陵十二钗》.并(bing)题一绝云:
