"大哉(zai)圣人之道!洋洋(yang)乎发育(yu)万物,峻极于天(tian)。优优大哉!礼仪三百(bai),威仪三千,待其(qi)人然后行。故曰(yue):苟不(bu)至(zhi)德,至道(dao)不凝焉。故君(jun1)子(zi)尊德性而道问学,致(zhi)广(guang)大而尽精(jing)微,极高(gao)明而道中(zhong)庸;温故而知(zhi)新,敦厚以崇(chong)礼。是故居上不(bu)骄,为下不(bu)倍;国(guo)有道,其(qi)言足以兴;国(guo)无道(dao),其默足以容(rong)。《诗》曰(yue):''既明(ming)且哲(zhe),以保其(qi)身。''其此之谓(wei)与!"子曰:"愚而好自用,贱而好自专;生乎今之世,反古之道(dao)。如此者,及其(qi)身者(zhe)也。"非天(tian)子,不(bu)议礼,不制(zhi)度(du),不考文(wen)。今(jin)天(tian)下车同轨,书(shu)同(tong)文,行同(tong)伦。虽(sui)有(you)其位(wei),苟(gou)无(wu)其德,不敢作礼(li)乐焉(yan);虽有其德,苟无其位,亦不敢(gan)作礼乐(le)焉。
