夫祭(ji)之为物大矣,其兴物备(bei)矣,顺以备者(zhe)也,其教之(zhi)本与(yu)?是故,君子之教(jiao) 也,外则教之以(yi)尊其君长(zhang),内(nei)则教之以孝于(yu)其(qi)亲。是故,明(ming)君在上,则诸臣(chen)服(fu)从, 崇事宗(zong)庙社稷,则(ze)子孙顺孝。尽(jin)其道(dao),端其义,而教(jiao)生(sheng)焉。是故(gu)君(jun1)子(zi)之事(shi)君也, 必身(shen)行(hang)之,所(suo)不安(an)于上,则不以使下(xia);所恶于下,则不以(yi)事上(shang);非诸人,行诸己, 非(fei)教之(zhi)道也。是故君子之(zhi)教(jiao)也,必由其本,顺之至(zhi)也,祭(ji)其是与?故曰:"祭者, 孝之本(ben)也已。"
