"大哉圣(sheng)人之道(dao)!洋洋乎发育万(wan)物,峻极(ji)于天。优优大哉!礼仪三百,威仪三(san)千,待其人然后行。故曰:苟(gou)不至德,至(zhi)道不凝焉。故君(jun1)子尊德性而道问学,致广(guang)大而尽精微(wei),极高(gao)明(ming)而(er)道(dao)中(zhong)庸(yong);温故而(er)知(zhi)新,敦厚以崇(chong)礼。是(shi)故(gu)居(ju)上不(bu)骄,为下不倍;国有道,其(qi)言足以兴;国无(wu)道,其(qi)默足以容(rong)。《诗(shi)》曰:''既(ji)明且(qie)哲,以保其身。''其此之谓(wei)与!"子曰:"愚(yu)而好自用,贱(jian)而好自专;生乎今之世,反古之道。如(ru)此者,及其身者也。"非(fei)天(tian)子(zi),不(bu)议礼,不制(zhi)度,不考文。今天(tian)下车同轨,书同(tong)文,行同伦。虽有其(qi)位,苟无(wu)其德,不敢作(zuo)礼(li)乐(le)焉(yan);虽有其(qi)德,苟无其位(wei),亦不敢(gan)作礼乐(le)焉(yan)。
