所谓平天下(xia)在(zai)治其国者,上老(lao)老(lao)而(er)民(min)兴孝,上长长而民兴悌,上(shang)恤(xu)孤而民不(bu)倍,是以君子有褰矩之(zhi)道(dao)也(ye)。所恶于(yu)上,毋以使下;所恶于下,毋(wu)以事(shi)上(shang);所恶于前,毋(wu)以先后;所恶(e)于后(hou),毋以从前(qian);所恶于(yu)右,毋以交于左;所恶(e)于左,毋以交于(yu)右。此(ci)之谓褰(qian)矩之道。《诗(shi)》云:"乐只君(jun1)子,民(min)之父母。"民之所好好(hao)之,民(min)之所恶(e)恶之,此之(zhi)谓(wei)民(min)之父母(mu)。《诗》云:"节(jie)彼南山,维(wei)石(shi)岩岩。赫(he)赫师尹,民(min)具尔(er)瞻。"有(you)国者(zhe)不(bu)可以不慎,辟则为无下矣。《诗》云(yun):"殷之未丧师(shi),克(ke)配(pei)上帝。仪监于殷,峻命不易。"道(dao)得众(zhong)则得(de)国,失众则失国。
